Meet James: Chief Strategist
James Langabeer, PhD, MBA, CFE
Hello! I am James, chief strategist and principal consultant. I was born in Tokyo in a military family, and moved around a lot! Today, I am lucky to be one of the leading voices in business strategy and decision-making. I most recently authored The Quest for Wealth available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble and an upcoming book called Essentials of Healthcare Strategy. I founded Yellowstone Advisors in Houston Texas to provide business consulting and coaching for executives and entrepreneurs who are looking for evidence-based intelligence and market research to support big decisions. As an internationally known behavioral scientist and strategist, I have also been a professor of leadership, behavior, and decision sciences at major universities including Boston University and the University of Texas Medical School.
My passion is to help people improve the behaviors that lead to faulty choices to help maximize the odds of achieving goals and success.
I write a monthly column on decision-making for Psychology Today, and regularly contribute to Forbes Magazine. My work and writing have been featured by Fox News, Slate, NBC, CBS, NPR, MoneyGeek, and NerdWallet among others.
I am also the author of multiple books and texts, and have a PhD in Management and Decision Sciences, and an MBA. I also hold multiple certifications and designations (see below).
